A few reminders:
Slide Tackles are to be dealt with on ALL occassions. A bare minimum of a direct free kick and talking to the player MUST be enforced. Slide Tackles include going down on one knee in the tackle, or sliding in front of the player to stop the ball. Any player slide tackling from behind is to be sent off for the remainder of the game (they can be replaced). Goalkeepers are allowed to slide only within their goal area. Once any part of their body is completely over the goal area, they are then in the field of play and deemed to be under the rules of a normal player, so the slide tackle must then be dealt with in the usual way. Field players in the goal area are still not allowed to slide .
Shots at goal where the ball is touching the goal "D" line at the time of the shot, is deemed to be in the goal area, thus is no goal. The ball has to be completely outside the "D" when the shot is taken, to be a goal.
Game preparation is YOUR responsibility. There has been too many occassions when refs are turning up to ref a game in the same coloured shirt as the players. Please ensure you check the team colours at the desk, and if you have no other shirt colour available, then wear a distinguishing coloured bib. Also ensure you take enough bibs down to cover a full team, if both teams have the same colours. Goalie bibs are to be distinguishing colours again.
